     As a premier portrait photographer, I am absolutely passionate about my career, as well as the art of photography.  In 2010, I began Blank Slate Photography by Carey so that I could share my passion and talent with others.  As both a professional photographer and artist, I am captivated by each and every one of my clients and it is my goal to tell their stories through photographs, capturing their true beauty and heartfelt emotions along the way.

     As owner and primary photographer for Blank Slate Photography by Carey, I specialize in boutique portraiture - "portraits to fit your lifestyle".  I choose to go that extra mile for my clients and this, along with my dedication to excellent service and great eye for detail, is what sets Blank Slate apart from the rest.

     Designing unique photo sessions is my specialty, from choosing that perfect location to wardrobe and final print products, I will meet with you one-on-one to produce a session plan and images that reflect your own individual personality and needs. 

My Inspiration ...

     I tend to find beauty and inspiration everywhere -- I love music, art and nature, and tend to draw inspiration from those things in my life that move me the most ... sometimes, I find inspiration in the simplest of things.

     Once inspired, my mission is to provide clients with not only beautiful images, but also provide them with a memorable experience.  I've yet to meet a client that has not become a friend and when I am able to reflect my clients' personalities and life stories in their images, I am over the moon!

     My passion for photography is what drives me to be better today than I was yesterday, and I am thankful for those in my life that lead me there and who continually open my eyes to new beginnings and challenges.  When I am not shooting, I also enjoy creative writing, graphic arts and spending time with my daughters and granddaughter !
